Changing Business for Good

Do you have an idea for a small business on the Washington Coast that makes money by building community and protecting the environment? Take a step today to move your idea forward. Enter the Washington Coast Works: Sustainable Small Business Competition.

Applications for this year’s round of the competition are now closed.

Our new 2018 cohort of 16 emerging entrepreneurs will be joining us for the Coast Works Entrepreneurship Intensive at the Olympic Natural Resource Center in Forks, WA, November 15-18 (sponsored by Key Bank). Participants in this “deep immersion” learning experience will build solidarity, connect to the growing Coast Works Alliance, and be introduced to the fundamentals of business, lean startup strategies, triple-bottom-line sustainable business models, and the art of making a pitch.

Follow their progress on Facebook and be sure to join us at Olympic Theatre Arts Center in Sequim, WA on March 28, 2019 for the Coast Works Fast Pitch and Award Ceremony where participants will present their business case statement for a chance to win up to $10,000 . See our Calendar for details on deadlines and events.

Coast Works is supported by sponsoring foundations and businesses. Click here for more information about our sponsorship program.

The competition would not be possible without the in-kind support of our many Resource Partners:
